We usually schedule a few Welcoming Wednesday events per month. Join us for the evening's informative, progressive, and educational program or discussion. Previous topics included: ending Florida's ban on gay adoptions, global warming, the Bible and fundamentalism, the Patriot Act and our civil liberties, Florida's prehistory, human and civil rights, homosexuality and the Bible, and more! |

Skip Schiel, a frequent visitor to Gaza, was there in January 2008 and the summer of 2009, before and after the devastation of Operation Cast Lead, the Israeli offensive on Gaza. He was witness to the effects of the Israeli siege on Gaza as well as the aftermath of Operation Cast Lead. While in Gaza, Schiel worked with the American Friends Service Committee youth program and at Al-Aqsa University in Gaza teaching photography. The program includes a multimedia program with photos, audio, and narration. Donations accepted, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
