Something a bit unusual--a Lenten study called The First Christmas.  This book, by two of the most respected progressive New Testament theologians, will take a deep look at the first two chapters of Matthew and Luke.  These are stories we know so well, but do we really know them?  These find and very readable authors will help us with important questions, such as:

• How can we approach scripture?

• What exactly was the "Good News" or gospel proclaimed by Jesus?

• What do we really mean by peace with justice?

• How does all this help us understand what it is to be a Beloved Community?
